Session 1: Aladdin and the lamp Outing: This week students went to fly kites. Though it was in winter, the weather was still nice for flying kites. Students had done a lot of preparation before they went, including making kites and leaning how to fly them as high as possible. They had a chance to practice English when they had to ask help from our foreign teachers.

Performance: Finally the one-week study ended and it was the show time for parents to see how much their children had learnt. Teachers went through the main lessons with students in the morning and helped them complete the final preparations. Students had made their own costumes and rehearsed their play. Let’s have a look at the photos we took that day!

Session 2: Ali Baba and the forty thieves Outing: This week students went to make pottery. The pottery place we visited is located in the quiet and relaxing Xiao Gang Park. There was some beautiful pottery and we invited a professional pottery maker to teach our students how to make simple pottery. With the help of our teachers students finally completed their own creations.

Performance: The story of the second week was Ali Baba and the forty thieves. After five days study students had learnt the whole story and performed it in front of their parents. Because of their hard study they spoke fluent English in the performance, which earned parents’ applause.

Session 3:Ma Liang and the magic paintbrush Outing: How to make a cake? Students went to learn how to make cakes from a professional teacher. They also made some cookies. When students got back to our center, they shared their lovely cakes and cookies with their parents.

Performance: Students learnt something about our traditional Chinese fairy tales through the study of Ma Liang and the magic paintbrush. They had learnt useful words in classes and practiced using them in the performance.
