Our system is a step by step leaning system for 4-12 year old children studying English as a second language.
The system consists of three main parts: Linguaphone Children’s English (LCE), Local Primary English (LPE) and EC (Extra curriculum).
Children are placed in a level with other children according to their school grade. There are 3 levels and each level covers two school grades:
Level 1 – Grades 1 & 2 Level 2 – Grades 3 & 4 Level 3 – Grades 5 & 6
There are two semesters a year. Each 16-week semester contains 32 mandatory classes (16 LCE and 16 LPE) plus more than 80. LCE and LPE classes each last for 1.5 hours. In addition to these two main classes, there are various extra curricular activities each week. Students are free to attend these activities as they wish. The LCE course is based on our international LCE materials. The main object of LCE is to foster real communication skills in the English language.
The LPE course is based on the local English textbooks. The main objects of LPE are to consolidate and extend what students have learnt at school; to help students in school tests; and to cultivate their interests and confidence in learning English.
Extra curriculum activities include the movie class, the creative activity class, the fun activity class, and the story class and birthday parties. The benefits of these activities are their variety and their relaxed approach. Regular communication builds a bridge between Linguaphone and parents. We contact parents by telephone, email, text message, through our website and the MIS system, and also at face-to-face meetings to work out a suitable learning plan for their child.
The Linguaphone teaching method combines the worldwide recognized system of “Edutainment” with local teaching styles, under the guidance of the Chinese National Level 3 Course Management System. We believe that through this combination we can provide Chinese students with a superlative English learning system.
